Ctrl Xpenses terms of service

By using Ctrl Xpenses, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Using the app

Ctrl Xpenses helps you record and organize your personal finances on your device. It is an informational tool: it is not financial, accounting or tax advice, and it does not execute banking operations or move money.

Purchases and subscriptions (Ctrl Xpenses Pro)

The app is free and functional with up to 1 account, 8 categories and 5 tags. Ctrl Xpenses Pro is an optional upgrade that removes those limits and enables export, backup, restore and customization, among other features. It is offered as a monthly or annual subscription (with automatic renewal), or a one-time lifetime purchase (single payment, no renewal).

• Payments are processed through your store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We do not receive or store your payment method details.
• The price, currency, taxes and any applicable promotion are shown before you confirm the purchase and may vary by country, platform and store account.
• When the store offers a 7-day free trial for the annual plan, the annual subscription will be charged at the displayed price after the trial ends, unless you cancel during the trial. The store determines eligibility and displays the billing date before confirmation.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and frequency shown before purchase unless you cancel before the next charge. Check your renewal date in your store account.
• You can cancel renewal at any time in your store account settings without a penalty. Renewal cancellation takes effect immediately; access for the already-paid period continues until it expires. Consumers in Mexico also have rights to automatic renewal notices at least five calendar days in advance and other rights established by law. If you do not receive a notice or have trouble canceling, email [email protected].
• Refund conditions and decisions are the responsibility of the store that processed the payment.
• A lifetime purchase is linked to the store account and platform where it was made. It does not automatically create a license for other platforms and can be restored while the store, app and that purchase remain available.
• If your subscription expires, data exceeding free-plan limits becomes read-only: it is never deleted and becomes available again when Pro is reactivated.

Your data and responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you enter and for keeping your own backups (the app lets you export them). Because data lives on your device, it may be lost if you lose or reset the device or delete the app without a backup.

No warranties

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We make our best effort to ensure calculations and conversions are correct, but do not guarantee they are error-free. Verify important information before making decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for damages arising from using or being unable to use the app, including data loss.

Third-party services

Some features rely on external providers: purchase processing (Apple App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and exchange rate and market quote queries. Their own terms and policies also govern use of these services. See our Privacy policy for details of the data each provider handles.

Exchange rates and market quotes

Currency conversions use data from an external provider (open.er-api.com) and are approximate and for reference only. Investment quotes come from Yahoo Finance and may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect. Verify prices, returns and conversions with an official source before making financial decisions.

Licenses and store rules

The rules of the store where you downloaded the app also apply. On Apple devices, the Apple standard license agreement applies; on Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable Mexican laws, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that apply in your place of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version will always be available at this address.
